Greetings one and all! We are in the process of setting up our travel blog and ask that you be patient with us as we work through this process!

What is a Texas Turtle?

The Texas Turtle is the name of our 17' Casita RV - our home away from home! Casita RV's are made once they are ordered at the Casita Factory in North Texas. Check out this website for more Casita information: http://www.casitatraveltrailers.com/
Casita RV's are made of two pieces of fiberglass (top and bottom) that are joined together to form a small but versatile RV! Each piece looks like the shell of a Turtle, protecting the "inhabitants" inside. Add to this the fact that we live in the great state of Texas, it seemed logical to us that we should call our little shell of a home the Texas Turtle. Everything else, as they say, is history! We have a larger RV, but our turtle home is our travel home of choice. It has everything in it as our big RV, only on a smaller scale, and it is much easier to handle and park than the big rig! Now you know!
