Monday we simply spent time taking it easy. It was a beautiful day to take in the sun, read a book and watch the flowers bloom - literally. As I have mentioned a couple of times already, spring is blooming late in these parts, and I am so glad it is, as it has provided us an opportunity to see blooms that we haven't seen in a long time! The area orchards are abundant with blossoms of pink and white, the roadside flowers provide some brightness to the asphalt highways, and personal gardens abound with a rainbow of color! Here are a few examples - most taken in the garden of Jim's sister, and our nephew Billy's yard!
Daffodils
Twice Bloom Iris (Blooms two to three times a season!)
Lilac variation (wonderful smelling flower)
Tulip (wide- open)
Ajuga

Iris is a genus of 250-300 species of flowering plants with showy flowers. It takes its name from the Greek word for rainbow, referring to the wide variety of flower colors found among the many species.
It was also a great day to play frisbee with Lacy.....one of her favorite things to do! She is a great traveler and has become quite the socialite!
