Suds, Food, and Chocolate Cake!

June 13, 2016
Yesterday was Barbara's Birthday( Karen's Mom) and my Birthday is Wednesday, June 14th, so we are going to have a joint celebrate tonight and Rita and Rob are our Hosts!  But as with any celebrations there are things that must be done to prepare.  First thing on the agenda was to do our laundry!   One of the perks of traveling on the road! (NOT!)  Our RV has everything a big motor home has with the exception of a washer and dryer.  So we have to take our laundry to the laundromat.  As newlyweds we did that for years, and I hated it!  Especially since we were doing it for a family of six!

We rewarded ourselves by going to lunch at the Flemington Diner.  Wish we had diners in our area - there is nothing like the food served at a diner and the best part are the home made desserts!  It's best to eat dessert first because the portions are so big.  We had leftovers for sure

This is the new modern Diner look!  When I was growing up they looked more like a passenger car on a train.  Either look, the food is always good!

After lunch we headed go Wal Mart (some things never change) and picked up a few items then headed home to check on Lizzie, regroup and get ready for the party!  Left the house and drove to Bound Brook to Rita and Rob's and had a great time catching up, taking selfies and other pictures and eating chocolate cake.  It really was a fun time!  I received a lovely framed and matted picture of the Stony Point on the Hudson Lighthouse and I received some gift cards as well.  Again, great family time!  So wish we lived closer to family, but it snows up here!  Another great day comes to an end!
