Day 31 - Easy Livin'

Today we returned to the Sugar Mill in Waialua as they were holding their monthly Farmers Market.  There were several booths where the local farmers were selling their goods  - vegetables - and the produce was very reasonable in price and looked fresh and delicious!  If we were staying longer, I would have brought some veggies to fix with our meals!  If I lived here, I would be visiting the Market on a regular basis! We also toured the soap factory and brought a wonderful book on the history of the area, specifically the town of Haleiwa where we are staying.

We then cruised the area and took some photos of area sights.  It is so pretty here in Paradise!  We ate lunch at Haleiwa Joe's and had a wonderful meal accented with Hawaiian sauces!  Jim had coconut shrimp with plum sauce, and I had Hawaiian Ahi spring rolls with a polynesian dipping sauce  Both were very good!

The afternoon we spent relaxing until it was time to pick up Jeremy after his training.  We then ran some errands and later went to Jameson's by the Sea for dinner.  It was very pricey, but good, and the ambiance alone was worth the cost!  Sunsets in Hawaii are the best!

Not much to blog about today - tomorrow we are planning to attend chuch at the local Protestant Church close to our rental house.  It has a lot of history and part of the liturgy is in Hawaiian.  I'll blog more about that tomorrow!  The closest Methodist Church is about 30 miles from our rental house, so we thought it would be interesting to visit a different church and experience more of the Hawiian culture in the process.

 Aloha!
Church we will be attending in the Morning

These trees line many of the roads here on Oahu
Not sure what they are called but they are each almost perfectly symmetrical

We have passed this beautiful blooming tree many times!
Again, not sure what it is other than Beautiful!
